NUR ABBAS

Nur lives in Paris and designs menswear for a prestigious French label. Still safely and enviably in his twenties Nur will talk passionately to you about technology, obscure experimental music and possibly body parts.

WHO NUR CURATED
Nur has chosen Invasion, a stoner rock band from North East London, Maxime Guitton founder of ali_fib gigs in Paris, Julia Galdo a photographer from San Francisco, and CG Watkins a photographer from England.

Maxime Guitton (ali_fib)
“Nur and I met at a concert I put on. Nur showed up several times and I ended up recognising his face. We must have talked and I realised that he was drawing. Nur showed me his drawings and quite quickly, we both decided that it would be cool if he could draw posters for some ali_fib shows, which he did.”

CG Watkins
“Nur and I met through one of those friend-of-a-friend-of-a-friend small world scenarios, where we found ourselves being the only two non-drinking Englishmen, that i know of, in the middle of Paris. after that, our tastes in film, music, videogames and house parties keep us going.”

Julia Galdo
“Through a friend of a friend of a friend whilst Nur was in SF on a shopping trip. My buddy Sean talked about having to meet this suave, handsome designer for LV, as we'd have tons to talk about and he'd only be in town for two more days. So, I dragged myself out of the apartment and went to the bar where they were. We actually did have tons to talk about, and have remained in contact.”

Marek (Invasion)
“Through Amy (Marek’s girlfriend) in 2004. We bonded over our mutual height and passion for obscure and experimental music. He responded to my then bands initial gigs and demos and offered to create some pieces for us for free. The second of which can be seen on our limited debut EP release in May...”
